In case you’re wondering how to find the best deals in your neighborhood on items you need now, just go over to MyGroceryDeals.com and sign up for the free membership. This service lets you search for any item and returns results from sales at major stores in your area such as Spartan Stores, Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Publix, Sav-A-Lot, Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Albertson’s, Super Target, Aldi, Kroger, Whole Foods, Wegmans, Trader Joe’s and more. Very Useful Phone Apps
Do you have an iPhone or a smart phone? If you do, please read on. Below you will find some apps that could really help you in your coupon quest. I’ve been using the apps listed below for a few months now and love each of these! I’ve weeded out the not so hot apps so take a look at these and let me know what you think.
The Cellfire app is great for adding coupons to store shoppers cards like Kroger. You simply enter your store card into the application after registering for free and all the available coupons for your store will appear. You can then load them to your card for your discount to be taken off at the register. Your coupons will be loaded to your card within 10 minutes so you can actually add them as you shop. These coupons will NOT double however. (cost=free)
RedLaser - Use RedLaser to compare prices. This app is really slick. You simply use your iPhone to scan a products bar-code, it searches online prices almost instantly and produces a list of retailers that sell the item and shows you the cost from those retailers. This allows you to make sure you are getting a good deal. (cost $2.00)
CardStar is an iPhone application that allows you to consolidate (or replace) your rewards cards. Simply type in each of your rewards cards and the cashiers can simply scan the bar-code that appears on your phone to add up your rewards. This application is not yet out for Android or Blackberry. (cost=free)
Grocery IQ is the official application of Coupons.com. Useful features include multi-user shopping lists, bar code scanning and shopping card integration. You can setup custom aisle arrangements for each store. Print directly to some HP printers, or email coupons to yourself. Cost is $.99

Where to find the best price: The travel search engine Kayak.com combs through over 140 sites to find the cheapest fares even if it means you’ll fly different airlines coming and going. You can also factor your checked luggage and fees for a true comparison. Kayak also shows you which flights are frequently late. It typically links to airlines directly in order to avoid booking fees incurred through third parties. Kayak consistently finds better deals than Orbitz and Travelocity.
When to find the best price: Everyone knows airfare prices change from day to day. The best time to book a flight online is in the early-morning hours of Wednesday. That’s when all the airfare sites reduce prices. To find out if you should book now or later, check bing.com’s farecast which indicates whether prices are expected to go up or down in the future.
